About the Sales Associate Role:

We are seeking a full-time sales associate with previous experience selling complex software or medical equipment into the healthcare industry.  This person will be primarily responsible for generating new prospects, completing client meetings, and closing new business for our software-based platform.  

 

Requirements:

  • The sales associate will have an undergraduate degree in business or marketing; minor or additional degree in communications or a scientific program a strong preference
  • 1-3 years of sales experience, preferably in the operating room or otherwise engaging with surgeons and surgical staff
  • Ability to manage an enterprise sales cycle and understand complex medical technology
    • Experience with value-based selling
    • Comfortable with both generation of new sales leads and qualification of existing leads
  • History of exceeding predetermined annual sales goals
  • Strong communicator that is comfortable interacting with prospects in person or via remote communication
  • Natural leader that is capable of working independently and also thrives in a team setting
  • Work primarily in our Chicago office with willingness to travel nationwide to hospital/medical device client sites and represent the organization at industry conferences, sometimes on relatively short notice
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office product suite

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • The sales associate will prospect for new business with potential customers including but not limited to; surgeons, operating room managers, nurses, hospital executives, and medical device executives.
  • Outreach to prospects that includes communication over email, phone, webinar, and in-person meetings
  • Management of inbound leads generated internally and from Explorer marketing campaigns
  • Organization of prospects and customers in the Explorer CRM system
  • Provide management with a weekly pipeline report that highlights sales activity and movement of prospects through the sales funnel
  • Conduct sales meetings via WebEx and in-person when needed
  • Attend industry conferences to promote the Explorer brand and interact with new potential prospects
  • Convert prospects into new customers by shepherding them through the full sales process and closing their business
  • Oversee the implementation and onboarding process for new customers  
  • Exceed predetermined annual sales goals
