The Polsky Center for Entrepreneureship and Innovation at the University of Chicago announced ExplORer, the surgical workflow management app first created by Drs. Alexander Langerman and Marko Rojnica of the Operative Performance Research Institute, will be competing in the final round of theEdward L. Kaplan New Venture Challenge.
The New Venture Challenge ranks fourth among US startup accelerators, according to the Seed Accelerator Rankings Project, and is the number one university-based startup accelerator. Past winners of the New Venture Challenge include healthcare companies such as AgileMD, an EHR-integrated application that provides clinicians to guidelines and reference information, and household names like grubHub, the online food-delivery portal.
